Offered through Skillshare

About this course

This class is for anyone who wants to get started creating fashion items with genuine leather!

Whether you are new to fashion design and would like to expand your knowledge and skills, or an experienced designer looking to work with a new material you will learn how to make fashion with leather from a leather fashion designer!

Approach leather as a material for any of your fashion design projects! This class will get you started with understanding how to handle leather in sewing and employing some essential design principles. Practice sewing and applying various decorative techniques and manipulations that can be later applied to any type of leather garment or accessory that you wish to design!

Continue learning leather design in my other classes that expand on these design principles and show you how to incorporate them into garments and accessories.

Students must have basic sewing knowledge and access to a regular home sewing machine.

Open up your creativity, broaden your range of fashion skills, learn to get really inventive with a new material! This class is just the beginning. Once you have an idea of where to start, you will feel more confident in exploring the possibilities of working with leather and experimenting on your own.

In this class you will learn:
