Want to see how professional UI designers approach a real product design project from start to finish?
In this class, you'll design a complete SaaS dashboard in Figma while following a practical workflow used by UI and product designers. Rather than learning isolated tools or concepts, you'll work through an entire project, from planning and wireframing to prototyping and final polish.
We'll begin by understanding the project brief and planning the dashboard structure. You'll learn how to think about information hierarchy, user needs, and layout decisions before moving into the design phase.
Next, you'll build the dashboard framework, including navigation, headers, dashboard cards, statistics sections, and reusable components. Along the way, you'll learn how to create scalable UI elements that can be reused across a project.
From there, we'll design the main content areas of the dashboard, including tables, activity feeds, project overviews, and progress-tracking elements. You'll also learn how to establish visual consistency through typography, spacing, colors, and layout systems.
Once the interface is complete, we'll move into prototyping and interactions. You'll create simple hover states, click interactions, and navigational flows that make the dashboard feel more realistic and interactive.
Finally, we'll refine the design, organize the project, and prepare it for presentation and sharing.
By the end of this class, you'll have a polished SaaS dashboard project that demonstrates your UI design skills and can serve as a valuable portfolio piece.
