Textile Design
In this class, learn how to properly display your surface pattern design or textile design portfolio. A pattern portfolio includes 4 major components:
- To be designed in collections - To include mock ups - Building a physical portfolio - Building a portfolio website
If your goal is to land a textile design job as an in-house designer, then your textile portfolio will need to be both physical and must also exist on a website. If your goal is to freelance or land art licensing deals, then your portfolio needs to exist primarily on your website.
In this class, I provide textile portfolio examples that I used in real interviews that landed me my last 2 textile design jobs as well as other job offers from other companies. Having an amazing portfolio is essential to landing your dream career as a surface pattern designer or as a textile designer.
